I’m Boyd Wright, and I believe that behind every great small business is a story worth showing the world.
After more than 40 years in IT, Telecommunications, and Business Services, working in technical services, support, project, sales, and account management roles across corporate, government, retail, and eCommerce, I realised it was time for a change. I didn’t just want to keep building solutions for other people’s businesses. I wanted to create something of my own—something meaningful, something that helped other business owners grow.
So in 2014, I founded Digital Juice Solutions—not with a perfect plan, but with a clear purpose: to design functional, user-friendly websites that help real, local businesses stand out, connect, and thrive online.
The early days were tough. I started small—just me, a laptop, and a lot of late nights whilst still working my day job. I'd originally built my first 50 or so websites for my ventures into affiliate marketing in various niches and for family and friends, constantly investing and learning new techniques and working through numerous digital marketing, web design, WordPress and SEO courses to hone my skills and knowledge by learning and taking on every new challenge and through doing, saying “yes” to every opportunity, and figuring things out along the way. I made mistakes, missed sleep, and worked through holidays. But once I started the business officially, a new client told me, “This website actually brought in business,” and it lit a fire.
I wasn't just building websites but helping people transform their livelihoods.
One of my turning points came with a local tradie who came to me frustrated. He had tried building his own site on a drag-and-drop builder. It looked OK, but it wasn't converting. I listened carefully and redesigned his site with a clear strategy, user and search-engine-friendly structure, mobile-first layout, and calls-to-action that actually made sense. Within weeks, he had more leads than he could handle.
He told me, “Mate, this changed everything.”
That moment hit me. This wasn't just design work—this was empowerment.
As word spread and my local business network grew, I worked with an incredible range of people—electricians, nutritionists, psychologists, landscapers, plumbers, auto mechanics, delivery specialists, accountants, builders, pest controllers, real estate agents, property managers, flooring specialists, hairdressers, business coaches, and so much more. I made a conscious decision to stay local-focused. I didn't want to be just another web agency chasing global clients. I wanted to partner with business owners and be the steady hand behind their digital presence.
I also grew smarter. I stopped saying yes to everything and started refining my process, strategic discovery, SEO foundations, hosting and support systems that clients could rely on. I invested in better tools, learned to listen more deeply, and created frameworks that helped clients look good and win online.
After 10+ years, hundreds of websites, and countless client stories, I've learnt that business growth doesn't come from flashy trends. It comes from clarity, consistency, and connection. My journey has been one of constant learning, proving that with the proper support, even the smallest business can punch well above its weight.
